Dan Moore
Dan Moore serves as the Managing Partner of Longstreet and has over 20 years experience in managing private and public companies, arranging financing transactions and negotiating business arrangements and investments.
Mr. Moore's experience includes the co-founding and management of the region's first early stage venture capital firm, Venture America, in 1984. Mr. Moore worked with and managed various portfolio companies of Venture America and successor companies. In addition, Mr. Moore has provided merger and acquisition consultative services to both private and public technology companies. These activities have resulted in successful liquidity events or major financings for over a dozen companies, including PriceInteractive, Media 4, Direct Broadcast Satellite Corporation, SSE Telecom, Viar & Company and Meridian Corporation. Mr. Moore has worked with companies including Discovery Communications, Echostar Communications, Alcatel and DynCorp, several of which have been acquirers or investors in companies that he has worked with or managed.
In 1999, Mr. Moore joined Price Interactive, a communication services business. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Moore repositioned the company, and grew it to over 150 employees before leading the sale of the business in 2001 at a valuation in excess of $100 million. Prior to that, Mr. Moore served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of SSE Telecom, a publicly traded satellite earth station systems business.
Jack Larmer
Jack Larmer joined Longstreet in 2004 as a Partner is particularly focused on the government contracting market segment.
Mr. Larmer presently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sentrillion. Sentrillion focuses on solutions to protect customers’ physical, information technology and human assets.
Mr. Larmer is the former President of Soza & Company, Ltd. (SOZA), an information technology, management consulting, and financial services firm headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia that was acquired by Perot Systems in 2003. Mr. Larmer joined SOZA in 1991 and established the Company's Management Services Division. During his tenure at SOZA, he successfully transitioned the Company to one of the nation's premiere privately-owned government contracting enterprises, with nearly 1,000 team members generating approximately $150 million in revenues, supporting worldwide contracts for a wide range of clients at the Federal, state, local and international levels.
Mr. Larmer is a founding board member of SECAF, an organization set up to assist Small and Emerging businesses doing business with the Federal Government. He has been on the Boards of Global Election Systems, Compudemics, Inc.; Data Preparation, Inc.; and AutoTax, Inc. Mr. Larmer also assists a number of civic, professional and philanthropic organizations.
Peter Kirsch
Peter Kirsch chairs the Advisory Committee for Longstreet's investment activities and provides counsel on a variety of matters for the Firm. Mr. Kirsch serves as Chief of Staff for the Offices of James V. Kimsey, Founding CEO and Chairman Emeritus of America Online. He oversees all operations for James Kimsey, including private investments, venture capital, philanthropy and international relations. Mr. Kirsch's responsibilities include portfolio management of a wide range of investments and companies, particularly in the Washington DC region.
Mr. Kirsch's philanthropic and international work includes oversight of the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) for the United States Department of State. In addition Mr. Kirsch works with many for-profit and non-profit organizations which include: Board of Directors, Adeptron TSX-'ATQ'; Board of Advisors, Lifelink MD; Board of Advisors, America's Promise; Board of Directors, Treasurer, BoardSource; Board of Directors, Washington Scholarship Fund; and Board of Directors, Greater DC Cares.
Before joining Kimsey's office, Kirsch was President of Platformix Inc., a Northern Virginia based start-up providing web based applications. Prior to Platformix, Mr. Kirsch served on the staff of the American Society of Landscape Architects for 11 years, including four as their CEO.
James Keeratisakdawong
James Keeratisakdawong joined Longstreet in 2005 as an Associate after graduating from George Mason University. Mr. Keeratisakdawong had interned for Longstreet at various times during 2004 and 2005 while completing his degree. Mr. Keeratisakdawong also brings experience from various companies and organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area such as the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum, an organization whose purpose is to assist small and emerging businesses do business with the Federal government, increase core value, and maximize performance.
Mr. Keeratisakdawong also leads Longstreet's marketing efforts. Mr. Keeratisakdawong works with several of Longstreet's portfolio companies providing marketing and business development support. He also provides front-line support to Longstreet's principals in such activities as M&A projects, strategic consulting engagements, direct investment and capital under management activities, market and industry research, and operational efficiencies.
Mr. Keeratisakdawong is a member of the Grubstake Breakfast Selection Committee, a quarterly event that brings together investors and early stage companies, for the Business Alliance of George Mason University. Mr. Keeratisakdawong graduated from George Mason University, Cum Laude with a B.S. in Marketing and was inducted into Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society and was specially recognized with the "Excellence in Major" award.
Stuart Mackiernan
Stuart Mackiernan is the Chief Executive Officer of CompuDyne Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gores Patriot Holdings, Inc. CompuDyne is a leading provider of products and services to the public security market. Mr. Mackiernan has served as a Director of Longstreet since
2003 and has over 15 years of operational and business development experience with major international product and services businesses. Mr. Mackiernan served for four years as Corporate Vice President, Commercial Business Development with L-3 Communications Corporation where his responsibilities encompassed the strategic, financial and new business development of L-3 Communications' commercial groups, including mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Mackiernan was also President, L-3 Satellite Networks Division.
From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Mackiernan was Vice President, Marketing, at General Instruments Corporation. In this capacity he was responsible for product development, channel management, marketing communication and customer service. He achieved significant global expansion for GI through increased sales and manufacturer alliances to launch key new products.
Prior to that Mr. Mackiernan served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at GTE Spacenet International Corporation where he managed domestic data and video services business and international sales and marketing. Also, from 1990 to 1992, Mr. Mackiernan was Corporate Vice President, International, for Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), where he was responsible for corporate-wide international business for the $1.5 billion consulting and systems integration firm.
Dan Price
Dan Price serves as an Advisor to Longstreet, particularly focused in the area of telecommunications services businesses. Dan Price co-founded PriceInteractive, a Washington, D.C. based communications services business, in 1991. Mr. Price managed the growth of the business, as Chief Executive Officer, and arranged major relationships with international telecommunications carriers. The Company provides automated call processing and speech technology services to Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Price grew this profitable business to over 150 employees before selling the Company in 2001; the business is now owned by Convergys Corporation. Mr. Price also had a number of entrepreneurial business experiences during his career, including working with a regional investment-banking firm, as well as several technology businesses.
